Inappropriate

Dear Times Square:

Do people always throw their dirty undies on you?

That's gross, and I'm sorry. One's man's trash is another man's treasure?

Dear Circle Line,

The tour guide on this boat (who seems to be a little bitter and angry, and seems to make up stories that don't even sound real) says that America owns The Statue of Liberty, meaning that I own a part of her, but that visitors can no longer go into the crown of the statue.

I mean, if Lady Liberty is mine, I want to be inside her.

Also - the woman who makes the nachos is kind of a dum-dum. Although the nachos were delicious, her approach was all wrong, and she was not very nice. You may want to consider your recruitment policies in the future, just saying.

I'm on a boat!

Respectfully yours,

KK

3 blind mice...err roommates?

Dear Little Mouse,

Please stay wherever you are currently hiding. I don't have time for any more mouse hunts as it's 4:30 in the morning, and I am tired. I hope you don't die in the traps we set, that would be sad.

I love cheese too,

Kelly

Dear Kellita Blog Followers,

I know that you do not exist yet (except Patrick) because I have not yet sent it to anyone. Anyway, I have not been a diligent blogger. I promise to change. Here are some pics from my trip home since I failed on that one. Huge shout outs to my brother and sister. I couldn't be more proud, a college grad, and a Coast Guard inductee!

Alright, New Drink...

A couple of years ago my dear friend Kristina and I, KelTina if you will, hungoverly created a game known simply as the letter game. It's a series of verbally written letters about anything that might be running through your mind at any moment. Over the years we have found great humor in this game, and at current press time I find it necessary to carry on this tradition (in written form of course) on my blog. For now. It begins today...

Dear Time Out New York,

Thank you for being so interesting that I blew by my subway stop, and had to walk an extra mile and a half home. While beyond irritating at first, you allowed me a leisurely and scenic end to a seemingly everlasting day. I find it amusing that I enjoyed myself given my cranky disposition.

Yours in Nature,

The Ibby Dibby

Everyone needs a little drag

KelTina preparing for a serious dance party

So one of my biggest goals of the summer is to say "no" less. Or more accurately, to do as much as I can and experience the best things this city has to offer. I started off with a bang by going out last Sunday night (which is big for me because i never go out on school nights). So my roomie Lauren and I joined Kristina at South Paw in Brooklyn for Gender Bender'a Sunday Eve Spring Social. Her good friend Justin was showing off his latest design collection, and I always go where there promises to be a good dance party. It was an amazing Sunday complete with a drag show. Stealing the show was Mr. Lady who does a pretty convincing Lady Ga Ga. It was the best gay dance party I've maybe ever been to. The perfect way to start my week, even if I only got 4 hours of sleep.

Here's a shot of Kristina and I, the invite, the Mr. Lady performance, and the greatest choreographed dance I've seen in a while (Lauren and I plan to have it down by the end of the summer) with an intro by Mr. Lady (you can fastforward to :58 to see the dance).

Now a special shout out to Justin Zimmer and all he's got going on. He's working on promoting his new design line, which is pretty great. Check him out at firstfloordown.com. The new stuff is really amazing and should be up soon. Buy something - you know you want to.

Blog About It

Ok - I'm doing it. I'm going to start blogging, and it's going to be REALLY interesting, just like my life.
